Pro Series and TT are not aimed towards older demographics. Kids aren't buying Pro Series and TT because it's either too expensive or they can't wait for shipping. It's not because American children want to buy lightweight Beys - given the choice, of course they would want Pro Series or Takara Tomy over regular Hasbro. The only reason why American children buy the product is because it's the only thing easily available in-stores. Pro Series and mainline have always been advertised as being aimed towards 8+ children. Hence the very lightweight materials used on their blades, so that is not easily able to injure anyone in case of any accidents, unlike the heavier and sharper counterparts from TT which are aimed at a much older demographic.
